Rules

First of all, it's absolutely essential that you read the Union rules. They apply to every house in the Union, including this one. It would also be awesome if you could take a while to explore the Union's historical resources page so we can keep things reasonably authentic. Beyond that, there are only a few house rules:

1. Greenwich Village currently has a limit of two characters per person, which may or may not change in the future, and an overall character limit of 20.

2. I won't be holding any RP chats until at least a few members (me included) have started writing stories. This isn't bribery, I swear; it's just a way to start developing characters and storylines so we actually have something to work with when we start RPing.

3. I am perhaps the only Newsies fan left in the world who loves it when people write the "New Yawk" accent. Therefore, if you want to do it, do it--in your profile, your stories, your RP. Make it as strong or as soft as you want, as long as it's actually readable.

4. Please pay attention to the ethnic makeup of the neighborhood. The largest ethnic group in Greenwich Village at this time was the Italians, followed by blacks and "mulatto" (mixed-race) folks. There were countless other groups in the Village as well, but do consider making a black or Italian character, unless you notice that the house is flooded with them already.
